I’m almost done with my final year of majoring in Art at California State University Northridge. However, I’m feeling as if I’ve barely grown.
Understandably, as an Art major, I feel as if a set of expectations are, well, expected of me when if comes to how I present myself in my work. But, despite all these years in college trying to get somewhere, I feel like I’ve gotten nowhere.
When I look back at the work I’ve created, yeah, I’ve still been doing art. But not the kind I want to make. And I have yet to fully discover what that is. The entire reason I’m taking a web design class is to figure out a way to build a simple portfolio site. I’ve enjoyed working in HTML so far, but… WordPress is a bit much.
I’ll keep fiddling around with this thing and see what else I can do.
